Link: Space A Travel

What: Space-A refers to the practice of traveling when a military flight has unused or unassigned seats aboard: think extra seats available when flying a tank from location A to location B. For free. Yes- I just said free… mostly. Sometimes there is an $8.00 surcharge if you are flying overseas, but other than that, free.

Who: Only service members, retirees and their families are eligible. Only with certain qualifications are reservists, National Guardsmen and family members without an accompanying active-duty sponsor permitted. Check out AMC’s official list for categories to see when you qualify.
